Placenta Encapsulation in Lubbock - Heartbeat Midwifery

A Loving Option for Your Postpartum Journey

At Heartbeat Midwifery, placenta encapsulation is a gentle, natural way to support your body's healing after birth—available as an optional service for families seeking that extra bit of care during the postpartum season. Many mamas choose this time-honored practice to ease recovery, balance hormones, and nurture their energy as they settle into motherhood. We're here to guide you with honesty, respect, and heartfelt answers to all your questions.

Why Consider Placenta Encapsulation?

This beautiful ritual honors your placenta—the incredible organ that nourished your baby throughout pregnancy—by preparing it with loving care through steaming, dehydrating, and encapsulating. While research is still unfolding, many mothers share stories of steadier moods, more sustained energy, and enriched milk supply in the weeks after birth.

Whether you birth at home or in our welcoming birth center, your placenta is handled safely and hygienically, returning to you as capsules you can take throughout your postpartum recovery. It's a natural way to honor your body's journey and support your wellbeing during a time of immense transition.

Your Choice, Your Care

Placenta encapsulation is a personal choice—one that we approach with open hearts and no pressure. We're here to walk alongside you, sharing information, answering questions, and helping you decide if it feels right for you and your family.

At Heartbeat Midwifery, we believe postpartum care is just as sacred as birth itself. Offering placenta encapsulation is one of the many ways we hold space for your healing, honoring your body, your experience, and your unique path into parenthood.

Happy words from happy families

I just had my second baby with Heartbeat and I have zero regrets with either of my births. Heartbeat's staff are wonderful and respectful and I had an amazing experience both times! I chose the birth center for both deliveries and loved having such a beautiful birth space and huge tub ready to go without me prepping it or cleaning it. I HIGHLY recommend Heartbeat- Carmen is the most experienced midwife in the Lubbock area and her wide range of birth knowledge made me feel at peace/ even through a breech baby and ECV- Carmen fixed me up and flipped my baby without issue. I'll be back if we have a third. 🤗 Love this place and their team!

I look back on my first pregnancy, birth experience, and postpartum care with gratitude because of the Heartbeat Midwifery staff. Carmen exudes a confidence, calmness, and competency that lets her clients feel absolutely safe. Because of my experience at the center, I feel empowered and strong and look forward to many more natural, unmediated births!

We had both our babies at heartbeat and could not recommend it enough! The midwives took such good care of us and welcomed us with open arms! Sofi always greeted us with a smile and a positive attitude! They made us feel like family! Carmen and Kelly delivered my last baby and it was such a peaceful experience. These ladies really care for their patients! We hope to be back for our next baby!

All 3 of our babies have been born at Heartbeat along with Heartbeat helping us through a loss. Carmen and all the other amazing midwives and students that have seen their way through Heartbeat have been a part of each of our incredible journeys. We are beyond thankful for the relationships made while bringing our babies earth side. We are thankful for the support beyond just pregnancy and birth. We can't recommend Heartbeat enough. I know that had we not had the support from a very knowledgeable and experienced midwife my birthing experiences would've been much different.
